Reviewer: Cheyanne B This realistic fiction book is about Nikki who has a crush on Brandon. There is a Sweet Heart Dance coming up and Nikki is scared to ask Brandon because she thinks he will say no. She has a "dorky diary" that she writes in all the time, every little thing. Nikki has lots of emotions and we see them in the story - sad, mad, happy, excited, confused. Her little sister also annoys her all the time. If you like love stories and realistic fiction I think you would like this book. I call this 'dorky love" because it is about a dork and her love for another kid. I hope you read it!

Reviewer: Tommy J Danny Shine is at a base ball game with his friends. Danny thinks the entire school hates him and that he is jinxed. The entire story is making me think about, "Will Danny ever be unjinxed?" My favorite part was when he works with Luke, another team player. There was lots of tension during it. It is also very funny. I recommend this book and the others in the series. They are really funny, realistic fiction books. Author: Rachel Renee Russel
Reviewer: Emily F Dork Diaries is about a girl who has a crush on this bow Brandon and wants to go to the Sweet Heart dance with him. She is too scared to ask him though. I loved how Nikki was surprised when her friends bought tickets for her and Brandon to go to the dance. It made me happy. I recommend this book to anyone who likes girl drama, boy problems, and to laugh. It is super fun. Author: Lincoln Pierce
Reviewer: Dillon H This is a realistic book about Nate's life experiences. It makes you laugh your head off and you will enjoy reading! Nate spends a lot of time in detentions, especially when, one time, he pretended to have a bloody nose so he could get out of history class. I liked this book because this kid has a bad day - every day. And it is not me. Middle school kids can relate to it, especially when Nate says snow should only come on school days. You will laugh - it is hilarious! Author: Tom Angleberger
Reviewer: Phil P This book is a realistic fiction book - and let's just say there is jiggly, uncooked meatloaf in it. My favorite part of this story is when they go to Thanksgiving dinner and there is uncooked meatloaf. There is also a fortune teller who tells the main character he should probably become a vegetarian. I recommend this book to those who like Star Wars and Origami. It is really funny. Author: Jeff Kinney
Reviewer: Rachel K This book is realistic fiction and comedy. It is really funny and will make you want to stay up all night reading it. If you have ever had a fight with a friend that made you feel as though your friendship would be ruined, this book will be a good read for you. Greg has a hard time in middle school and tries to find ways to fit in. People keep getting in his way though. I laughed a lot reading this book and think you will too. If you like comedy books and longer stories you will love this book. Author: Tom Angleberger Reviewer: Noah S.
This book is a realistic fiction book. If you like stories about rebels and kids who stand up for themselves, then you will like this book. It's good for Star Wars fans too. The main characters are the leaders of the Origami Rebel Alliance. They want to get rid of really a bad educational program called "Fun Time." It is a silly learning program that is supposed to help kids get better test scores. It really is not fun though. This is an easy book to read with a surprise ending. The artwork will help you understand what the book is saying. If you like origami,Star Wars, and funny books - you will like this. It was one of the best series I have read. |
