There is a brother and a sister named Dan and Amy who are searching for one of the 39 Clues. They traveled to Jamaica and the Bahamas following a clue they found in China. They are given a coded note, which leads them to a mysterious man in black who gives them information that will take them further in the race than they ever thought possible. Reviewer: Emilie P Have you ever read a book that you just could not put down? That is what happened with me and Stranger with My Face. This mystery novel is about Laurie Stratton who lives on an island. One summer, everything changes. She becomes popular and now has a boyfriend named Gordon. Laurie slowly starts to get visits in her sleep by a twin sister. She learns that she is adopted. And so begins a very mysterious, suspenseful story. This book is great and if you love mystery and suspense you will Author: Jack Gantos
Reviewer: Alex K This realistic fiction story is a sequel to the novel, Dead End in Norvelt. I loved the first book because it was humorous and a murder mystery. Imagine - you fall into a septic tank and then learn that you are going to New York with your 90-year-old neighbor, who has arthritis, just to go see Eleanor Roosevelt's grave because that same neighbor loved Mrs. Roosevelt for creating Norvelt. Jack's summer is a disaster due to this and more. I recommend this book to you if you love humor and murder mysteries. Author: Jaqueline West
Reviewer: Taylor N This mystery book is about eleven year old Olive, who had just moved into her new house on Linden Street with her parents. She came across a violent colored room where there was a chest of drawers. On it's back, she found a pair of spectacles and when she wears them, she can go through special paintings the previous home owner, Mr. McMartin, had made. I loved this book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries. It is like having a puzzle but with no pieces. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Author:
Reviewer: Rachel C This is a mystery book but also realistic fiction at times. Have you ever thought that everything around you is just falling apart? Well that is how Teddy Fitzroy feels all the time. Someone poisoned the zoo's mascot, Henry the Hippo, and made him go Belly Up! I recommend this to anyone who likes a good laugh and who is around my age. Author: James Swanson
Reviewer: Aaron H This book is a historical fiction book about the tragedy of President Lincoln's death. It uses evidence to help find the killer and hopefully convict him. There is a side story to it that I really enjoyed because it reminded me of when my grandparents tell me stories about their lives. A boy gets a book that is about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, in the Ford's Theater. The assassin was upset that the Confederate Army lost the Civil War, so he shot the president. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes sitting on the edge of their seat in suspense. You will not want to stop reading this book! Action and history together! Reviewer: Brandon F.
This book fits in the genre of Mystery. I personally like clues, so I knew this would be the book for me. The story is about two kids, Amy and Dan Cahill, who aer trying to solve problems that are happening where they live. The Vespers kidnap Atticus, and Dan and Amy need to try to find him. When they go to Atticus' home, they find his house is a mess and footprints and tire tracks remain. They hope these clues will help them find Atticus. I recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and using clues to solve them. It's almost like playing a game. |
