Reviewer: Colin I I chose this book because the front cover looked interesting. it has a pirate ship on it. There is a brother and a sister named Dan and Amy who are searching for one of the 39 Clues. They traveled to Jamaica and the Bahamas following a clue they found in China. They are given a coded note, which leads them to a mysterious man in black who gives them information that will take them further in the race than they ever thought possible. I would recommend this book to people who like to read about adventures and solving clues.

Reviewer: Bradley P. This is a great book about killing whales and life at sea. Melville had a fantastic way with words. The cover is honestly what made me pick it up. Ishmael needs money and he wants to go to sea, so he joins a whaling ship called The Pequod. When he makes a Native American friend named Queequog, the adventure starts right away. After packing for a three year sail, they leave. They meet the ships revenged captain Ahab, who had his leg bitten off by Moby Dick, the great white sperm whale. I really enjoyed this marvelous book. If you like adventure, you will like this story. Author: S.A. Bodeen
Reviewer: Anna I The Raft is a very adventurous novel that would probably be found in the realistic fiction section of your local library. A friend told me this book was one of her favorites, and it will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat! This book is about never giving up. The main character, Robie, shows great determination and bravery as she tries to get back to her island home after her plane crashes. She must now fight for her life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure - but there is a little something for everyone in this book! Author: Rick Riordan
Reviewer: Alex H How would you like to be half god and half human? Well that is everyday life for Percy Jackson in this book. As the son of Poseidon, he learns that he can control the movement of water. How cool is that? This fantasy book is recommended if you like action, magic, friendship, and adventure. You can put yourself and see yourself in the quest. Author: Frank E. Peretti
Reviewer: Judah M This is a story about Jay and Lila Cooper and their Dad, Dr. Cooper, who is a scientist. They go to Africa to find out about a big stone that is there. On their way, they meet Dr. Henderson, but the plane they are on crashes and they encounter a group of people called the Togwanas. They capture them and bring them to the chief. Dr. Cooper tells the chief that they are Americans and they allow the people to stay. I love mysteries and adventure and the cover of this book made me feel like it was going to be interesting. I recommend this book to anyone with similar interests. Author: Jeff Hirsch
Reviewer: Blake S This author is known for his realistic fiction books, and I picked it up because it seemed action filled. This story will lead us on adventures into a secret agency fighting a war for the USA. Who will win? Who is good? 9 Year old Callum Roe is kidnapped from his home and must learn to survive on his own. He struggles to make a decision that could change his life forever. He is caught in wars he doesn't understand and meets new people and new enemies. I recommend this action packed book if you like action and realistic fiction. It is filled with suspense! |
